AI REINVENTION EXPERT · KEYNOTE SPEAKER · CO-FOUNDER, FLIPWORK
For twenty five years, Monica Marquez has built the systems that decide who gets to grow when the ground shifts. Today that work is AI: clearing the identity bottleneck, redesigning how work gets done, and building the manager systems that turn access into adoption.
¡Ay Ay Ay, AI! One practical idea a week on AI adoption, work redesign, and human capability.

the argument
Technology changes. The reasons people cannot move with it do not. Across twenty five years and every wave of change Monica has worked inside, failure occurs in the same order: people who cannot see themselves in it, managers who cannot make it safe, and work that was never rebuilt to hold it. Most programs fund the tools and skip all three.
Ask someone to change how they work and you are asking them to risk what earned them their standing. Underneath the pushback is a simpler question: do I still count here? Leaders who answer that get movement. Leaders who skip it get compliance, which looks like progress until it stops.
A license lands in everyone's inbox on the same day. Permission takes longer. People watch their manager to learn what is actually rewarded, what quietly gets overlooked, and who pays for guessing wrong. Whatever the middle layer signals is the change your organization is really running.
New capability inside an old process just makes the old job faster. That is where most of the value disappears. The work itself has to be rebuilt: who hands off to whom, who decides what, where a person checks before it moves. Otherwise the same org chart runs at higher speed.
These beliefs shape everything Monica writes, teaches, and builds at FlipWork.

SPEAKING
Three talks for senior audiences: one for the organization, one for the people a leader leads, and one for the leader.
The Agentic Advantage
How leaders build an organization capable of continuous change.
Authentic Intelligence
How leaders create the conditions where their people's best thinking reaches the work.
Flip the Script
How high performers replace inherited rules with intelligent leverage.
For twenty five years, Monica has built systems that decided who got developed, promoted, and prepared for whatever came next. She has watched technologies arrive and seen the same thing happen: the tools changed, the work didn't, and people were left to figure it out alone. Today, she builds the pathway for the AI era, so leaders and their teams know what to change and what it takes to make it stick.
Meet MonicaA Lesson From My Mother
“El que no cambia con el tiempo, el tiempo lo cambia a él.”
He who does not change with time, time changes him.
Monica heard that growing up in West Texas, long before she had a word for what it described. It is still the thing she watches for in every room: not whether people can change, but whether they can do it and still recognize themselves.
Monica co-founded FlipWork on a belief she has held her whole career: there is no ceiling on what people can become. If you are responsible for how your people adapt to the AI era, that is where the work continues.
