I BUILD PATHWAYS
INTO WHAT'S NEXT.
HI, I'M MONICA
My whole career has been about one thing: making the complex accessible for people who are smart, capable, and ready but need a clearer on-ramp.
I've done it at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Ernst & Young, and Google, building programs that helped thousands of professionals break into spaces that weren't designed with them in mind.
As co-creator of the People² framework and co-founder of FlipWork, I help leaders reinvent how they think, work, and succeed in the AI age.
MY STORY
I grew up in a small West Texas town where most opportunities felt out of reach. I was the first in my family to graduate college, earn a Master's degree, leave our home state, and build a career at some of the world's most recognized institutions.
That journey taught me something I've never forgotten: drive and determination can only take you so far. What actually changes trajectories is access to the right system at the right moment.
I spent the first half of my career building those systems for people who'd been left out, pioneering the Goldman Sachs New Directions® and Returnship® programs, which helped thousands of women re-enter the workforce and reclaim their professional momentum.
Then AI arrived. And I watched brilliant, accomplished leaders with decades of experience and real institutional power suddenly feel left behind because nobody had built them a practical on-ramp.
So I built one. Again.
MY PURPOSE
I believe the most powerful technology on the planet is still the human being. AI doesn't change that. It amplifies it for the people who know how to use it.
My mission is to make sure that as many leaders as possible know how.
I combine 25 years of experience building high-impact programs at the world's leading organizations with a deep, practical fluency in agentic AI.
I don't teach theory. I build systems that work, test them in the real world, and hand leaders the playbook.
That's what People² is and that's what FlipWork does. And that's what every issue of ¡Ay Ay Ay, AI! is built around.
MY VALUES
Curiosity. Creativity. Contribution.
These aren't abstract ideals. They are the operating system I've run on my entire career and the same values embedded in every product and program I build.
I've been a radio host, an opera singer, and an aerial acrobat.
What all three taught me is the same thing every great leader eventually learns: the most important skill isn't the one you were born with.
It's the one you build when you decide the current version of yourself isn't the final version.
